Rockwell xfer case ?????

Does anyone still run a rockwell T221 xfer case? I'm trying to find out if the shift boot retainer ring in the cab had a shift pattern on it. Yukon Jack has one but his is plain, and I just wondered if they were all plain. My setup didn't come with a boot or retaining ring, so I don't know for sure. Thanks, Jeff.

Re: Rockwell xfer case ?????

All of them are plain. Shift patterns were shown on roof or glovebox applied decals & on shifter knobs.

Re: Rockwell xfer case ?????

Thanks Paul. Do you carry shift knobs for them that have the pattern, or am I SOL? Jeff.

Uh oh, educate me! Is that something that didn't happen in our era trucks?

Re: Rockwell xfer case ?????

I have no idea if it was available. Someone could have just replaced mine with a boring knob with no markings on it before i bought it... Being that it is an old Rockwell, the shift pattern is backwards from anything I'd ever seen before. So, when i bought the truck, I had no idea that I had it in 4-HI for the first 3 months (summer). I finally got around to playing with it, and realized that the shifter was worn, and you had to hold your tongue just right to get it into 2 WD...

Re: Rockwell xfer case ?????

When I got my truck (SM465/married 221) the transmission shifter had the pattern on it, but not the transfer case shifter. The knob just had a knurled edge around it. There was no shift pattern sticker, either.
All of the other Rockwell T221 equipped trucks I've seen were the same way.

Re: Rockwell xfer case ?????

Same here, the t/c shifter knobs I have seen for the Rockwell are smooth tops with knurled edge.

Re: Rockwell xfer case ?????

Mine only has the front and rear yokes. I have a sticker with the shift pattern, though, so no worries. I was just trying to find out of the pattern was shown on the knob or boot retainer as well. Thanks, Jeff.

Dodge M37's had New Process model 200 transfer case, not a Rockwell.

Re: Rockwell xfer case ?????

depending on the year the M37 had either the 3yoke NP200 style that also appeared in power wagons, or a rockwell case that has 4 yokes(the top thru one that was used as a parking brake on the back side), ive got it in the back of my truck if any info is needed

Re: Rockwell xfer case ?????

Do any of the vendors still carry a shift pattern decal for the Rockwell T221?
