Just when you thought there were no more unmolested barn finds!

Just like it came out of a time capsule!

Washer bottle on the wrong side and non-stock carb and air cleaner, but those are easy to swap. The price is right! (for now anyway)

Re: Just when you thought there were no more unmolested barn finds!

I do not trust the mileage statements on auctions, like this one has said. If it only had 14K miles, even if it had been used for a minimal amount of time, it seems to me that the rockers would not be rusty.

If this mileage is right, my truck only has 11K!

Re: Just when you thought there were no more unmolested barn finds!

They had better put this one back in the barn until there are no more usable trucks left, then maybe it would be worth something I serioulsy doubt "the county" only put 14K on a truck and sold it. Some people actually don't realize that older vehicle didn't have that extra "1" to denote over 100K. AND it was a plow truck. Probably washed 3 times a year and covered with salt spray everywhere.

In all seriousness, if the price stays where it is, it would be a nice buy for someone who wants a 4x4 conversion.

Re: Just when you thought there were no more unmolested barn finds!

If it was just used on the grounds of say a Community College, the mileage could be low. And,if it mostly just plowed snow, sat, and not hiway driven,I can see it rusting like that.
BUT,I think it`s at least 100,000 more. What happened to the pedal pads?

Tsk tsk tsk. Peterbuilt floormats. You would think he'd get Mack ones instead.

For 250 bucks, it doesn't look TOO bad. Good parts truck anyway......

Re: Just when you thought there were no more unmolested barn finds!

I'm calling that one out. why in the heck would a set of headers and a holley be put on by the county ???? why would the pedals be so worn my truck has 100k and they are in better shape. maybe its just been sitting so long the figure it was 14 as you can see the numbers dont line up well . thats a sign of a 100k flip

Hard to believe it's just 14,000 miles...decent enough deal tho...for someone looking for one year only 4x4 front drum brake parts I guess...

A K-model 3/4t truck would either be a C/20,Custom/20,CustomCamper/20,or CST/20.

I don`t see a whole lot wrong with the truck, just the seller. It`s a straight, solid, and unmolested truck to me.Alot of trucks with shiney paint and custom wheels for many thousand dollars are no better.

Re: Just when you thought there were no more unmolested barn finds!

If the seller was right and was indeed a county plow truck, I would say pass. I've seen what happens to fleet vehicles that wear snow plows, it isn't pretty.

Re: Just when you thought there were no more unmolested barn finds!

The seat looks like it could be 14,000, but that's about it. The tailgate lettering has been painted over what appears to be quite a while ago, so it's probably been repainted. A true 14,000 mile truck, especially a work truck owned by the county, should be wearing it's original paint.
