Re: check out these crazy light up wheels

I thought they were completely stupid until they started driving with them. I wouldn't have them, but a cool idea.

Re: check out these crazy light up wheels

my brother (and I don't know why) emailed and got a response back (he copied me on it) - the whole system (4 wheels, software, etc.) for 21" wheels - $12,500! They also do 22" and 23" I guess.

Re: check out these crazy light up wheels

It lists the price right on the website.
Brand: Dub Wheels

Model: Dub custom wheels - Pimpstar

The PimpStar is a huge leap forward in the evolution of the wheel. With the PimpStar's built-in full color LED lights, microprocessor and wireless modem, you can display virtually any image, including text, graphics, logos, and even digital photos!

The included software allows you to create your own images and send them to each wheel individually or all wheels at the same time as you drive! You can even pre-load up to six images into each wheel and program them to change automatically at the time intervals you select. The wheels are environmentally sealed, so you don't have to worry about going to the car wash; and they are powered by the vehicle electrical system so there are no batteries to run out or change, ever.

Re: check out these crazy light up wheels

I must say those wheels are Fly. [stupid joke warning]But I wouldn't call them fly wheels.

And I will say they are a bargain compaied to the $250K cubic zirconium wheels from Asanti.

Did you watch the video? It's not just lights. They show pictures while you are driving. I am not sayin gI would give $12,500 for them. Just wanted to make sure you knew it's more than just lights. For the first 10 seconds of the video I thought they were insanely stupid, but once I saw what they really did I thought they were neat. Not my cup of tea, but I imagine Dub will make some change off these.

Oh I watched the video. So its hooked to the electrical.I leave my key turned
a little and the battery goes dead.Think what would happen if some rappin gang had your little import racers out in the LA and everyone was looking at each others cars. Some rapper was rappin and the lowriders with hydraulics were playin rap music and the spiners were spinin.Toy Truck!Sorry This post was long but I wont know anybody buy a set of those.a truck aint a truck, a car ain't a car ,and an suv ain't an suv if it has those.

I think they're running out of ideas on how to make big inch rims different and more expensive.
