Are you going with regular Walmart engine paint or are you going to have someone mix and spray you some nice color on your block? I think maybe if you go with a blue truck, make a silver motor. JMO. Does anyone know how you mix your own colors to be painted on your block? Does it have to be a different mix or what?

I would steer away from Gloss black. It makes it VERY difficult to find the origin of an oil leak unless you have dye and a blacklight.
I painted one Neon Green w/clearcoat and the rest was chrome. Looked kinda cool I thought. Never heard the end of it from friends though lol! |

I normally try to stick with the proper colors myself. Ie orange on a chevy, blue on a caddy (even if it is the wrong shade of blue).
I once painted the engione in my old Citation yellow. Never lived that oen down, I still get sh!t on that one 10 years later. |

I use the POR 15 Chevrolet engine enamel. Its orange of course. Lay it on heavy and it will take a week or so to completely set up. Thats fine. Its as hard as a rock when done.
