I have a 70 swb 2wd pickup w/ 350, hei, one wire alternator, and a floor mounted shifter. other than that it is basically stock. I want to use the blade style fuses, and i don't have much auto wiring experience. I was looking at the universal kits but they like a pain because it doesn't come with the connectors or anything for under dash. I basically just want something i can mount in the stock location and plug in. any suggestions. Painless? RonFrancis? thanks

I think painless has a kit just for our trucks

I installed one of the painless wiring kits into a truck I built for my former employer. I found that this kit is a pain to put together. I have rebuilt old harnesses before and even with previous owner modifications, I have found it is easier to rebuild the old ones. But if you really want to use blade fuses that is probably the best way to go. Just plan on spending quite a few nights putting the harness together. You will have to use a few of the plugs from the original dash harness, a plug for the hei and will have to order a seperate kit if you have a/c. I hope this info helps you out.
