What would you rather buy (NOT an ad)

I'm getting ready to rebuild the doors for my '72 starting with the clean ones from my parts truck. I'm trying to figure out what to do with the existing ones - they're generally pretty clean but will need a lower outer skin.

I'm thinking that I'd like to do this repair as a learning process. I know I wouldn't get more for them repaired, so it's at best a break-even process.

Would you rather buy:

- Rusty originals that you can repair
- Repaired originals un-primered so you can judge the quality of the repair
- Repaired orginals in epoxy primer and undercoated inside?

For the primered doors, I'd take pictures of the repair process and final repair.

Open for suggestions; I'm leaning towards completed doors as the best way to build my skills by taking it all the way through primer. Also interested in perspectives on what these would be worth...thinking $25->$50->$75 in ascending order.

THANKS!

DONATE TO THE YARD SALE!!!!!!!!!!!!

This would be my take - I'm not good at major body work, but if I were I would likely want to do it myself to be sure it was "done right". If I wasn't good at body work the repaired ones would be better, but if they had a fit problem then I would have to pay someone to fix them, and would likely search for good used, or maybe repop, not saying your quality is bad or any thing like that, they would surely be just fine, but knowing my luck if one out of a hundred parts are bad, thats the one I get.

I have a pair of 68 doors here that may be in similar shape, I don't know what to do with them, they are to good to throw away, but I don't know if anyone would want them as is.

I like orginial non rusted doors, they aren't that hard to find if you are willing to travel. I have quite a few doors that are in good shape but have speakers holes cut into them those I am going to do what you are doing, practice repairing them

Theres a guy locally with a set of shaved doors he got from a body shop. Decent price and looked good from the inside of the door but the bondo was so thick I wouldn't touch em. Probably just a cheap way of getting the doors to line up but I've been burned before (my cab and pass fender were the worst)

I`d want the doors done with before/during/after shots.Or,it would depend on price.
