Need advise on air/fuel tuning on a 68 2bbl please.

I have a 1968 chevy 3/4 ton with a rebuilt 327 2bbl carb.
I was wondering how you all set the air fuel mixture screws??
Thanks.

I ve always ran the motor until its warm then used a vaccum/tach to set the screws, Then shut it off and see how it reacts to restarts. Then check it when its cold. But from scratch turn them in unitl they bottom then back out 2 turns.
