fuel pump install
I will be installing my new fuel pump for my 250 when it comes in tomorrow, wanted to make sure there weren't any standard tips to this that I am not aware of. Do you use RTV only, both sides of a gasket, dry gasket only?
Is it a fairly straight forward process? Does anyone know what a stock 250 pump runs at gph/psi? Is this pump the same kinda pump for a standard sbc or not? Thanks!

Re: fuel pump install
Hardest part of swapin the fuel pump out on a 250 is opening the package the new one came in. (I'm pretty close to being serious.)
Not like the SBC where you have to worry about that &^%$%^& rod staying in place till you get the pump in. Just disconnect lines (plug them so no drippy), remove old pump, clean surface, install new gasket and pump. Connect fuel lines. Start truck and go varooooooooom. Dat's it

Re: fuel pump install
Man, stay away from that RTV. Clean & dry surfaces, dry gasket = tight seal. RTV was invented for people who use hammers & chisels to remove gaskets, damaging the surface or too cheap to buy gaskets.
