good deal???? 69 c10

1969 c10 short bed. great paint job, few minor rock chips in clear coat. 3sp on the column inline 6. 130k original miles. all original stickers/plates. all electrical components works except for fuel gauge. wanted 8000, he will accept 7200. light blue with white roof.

here is the only problem found. occassionally the column shift lever sticks. on the column where the linkages are under the hood. it stuck once on test drive going from 3rd to reverse. all i had to do was jump out, pop the hood, and flip the linkage over. after that, it shifted fine the rest of the drive.

have any of you encountered this? is there a simple fix? maybe an adjustment or bushings? thanks a bunch!

That is usually an easy fix, there is an adjustment, slotted cam type adjuster at the bottom of of the column, loosen the little bolt and turn the cam to remove slack between the shift arms and then oil it a little. This will prevent the shift selector from going in between the shift arms. I'll bet hundreds of trucks have been converted to floor shift just because of this one simple adjustment.
