Auto tranny conversion

I have a 71 C10 2WD with a 4spd and am in the process of converting it over to a TH350 for a 72 C20. I am wondering if the drive shaft will work from the 4spd or will I need to get the one off the donor truck? Just need some good info on it, if the lenght is the same and the splines are the same. I am wondering because the salvage yard wants $125 for it and think that I can save some money by using something that I already have.

Thanks

I just figured out how to post that is why I posted in the welcome section.
Sorry

Re: Auto tranny conversion

If I remember right the 4 spd drive shaft uses a different u joint than th350 also I think the lenths are different. I would grab the one out of the c20. I am not sure on the length in a c20 but there should be someone that knows for sure. i hope this helps. Good luck.
