Aftermarket oil press. sender location

I need to install an aftermarket electric sender on the 350. I'm not too familiar with the SBC. The stock one stays in place, should I just tee off of it?

I see a plug on the oil filter housing, can I go there? Any other spot? I have not looked hard yet.

Above the oil filter, or just behind the distributor an a little to the drivers side. Behind the dizzy is usually the easiest access, but not always. Are you going from a stock mechanical or elecric gauge to an aftermarker electric gauge?

Most likely the original sending unit will be behind the distributer. I would go ahead and replace the original one with the one that comes with the kit, if it does come with one. If not near the distributor, then the one above the oil filter would be the next best location.

**EDIT: I read your original post again. If you plan onleaving the factory gauge in working order, then put another sending unit in the opposite location. I am not sure how the gauges would react to having two "receivers" hooked up to one sending unit.
