Mileage Cam
I know that changing the cam isn't going to turn my 71 into a Prius, but I have the engine on a stand right now and, well, this would be the time to make a change. I read and hear about changing to an RV Cam, but that is a somewhat generic term. Any specific recommendations that you have first-hand knowledge of? Thanks.

it would help to know what engine, tranny and gear ratio you'll be running. tire size and intended use- highway vs city best thing to do is get all your info togather and call a cam co and tell-em what you want it to do

The term "RV cam" has had two different meanings since I first heard it. Back in the early '70s, during the first oil embargo, they sold "RV" cams which were milder in duration than a stock cam. On the other hand, in the last few years, I've heard the term applied to a cam that has just a little MORE duration than a stocker.
