SS clone. The only picture of an actual SS truck is the one you posted, and I've never heard what happened to it.

Yep, that is correct.

There were very rare original test ZR-1 Corvettes from 1989 or so that were discovered in a salvage yard in Europe. At least one was being restored last I read on VetteNet some years back

It has a basic dash with an aftermarket Tach and aftermarket wheels. If it were a "real" SS it would have similar wheels and gauge clusters to other SS offerings of the era.

Does sound pretty sweet though.

I think the SS clone kicks @ss. If I had a 2WD SWB 67-72, I'd consider making it a SS clone. But thats just me.
