engin code help

I have a 70 c10 with a 250 inline 6 and the stamp # behinded the distributer reads F1204tab and the vin # is cs140F127761 is the engin, numbers matching or is it not. thanks for in advance.

Well the engine was made in Flint Michigan on Dec 4th. And the VIN says it's a 2WD, 6 Cyl, 1/2 ton, Pickup (stepside?), 1970, from Flint Michigan. So that could all be right for being original.
