67-72 A/C Flapper Question????

I am trying to install factory A/C in a non factory A/C truck. I've looked through the Service Manual and Factory Assembly Manual and cannot find anything about a cutout for the flapper that fits in the cowl in the Factory A/C system. Does anyone know if I need to cutout for this, and if so, what is the best way to do that? Better yet, does anyone have any pictures? Thanks for your help.

Re: 67-72 A/C Flapper Question????

No cutting required. Just get a donor flapper. Take a good look at how it was mounted in the junk truck. Make note of the size of the holes. Your truck has dimples from the factory on where to drill the three holes. The flapper is the easier part of this swap.

Hey Jim, that spring is in the wrong hole!! It should be in the one to right, just below the wiper shaft hole....

Good eye John!

I did move the spring before I installed the cowl clip.
