stock tire size
Tried the search function, but it appears to be down, can anyone tell me what the stock tire size on a 70 k20 would have been?
Looking to recalibrate my speedo also, stepping up tire size, and swapping rear gears, any leads to a site that can help would be appreciated.

Re: stock tire size
7.5-16 bias ply tires on split rims. My truck had 'em and I got the originals from my Suburban too. You could special order other sizes, just a couple I remember seeing: 8.75-16.5, 9.5-16.5, 10-16.5, and 12-16.5. I think the biggest 16.5" rim back then was 8.25" wide. To compare tire sizes this site is a BIG help:

Re: stock tire size
I know that Jim Carter Classic Truck Parts will rebuild/recalibrate your speedo. I emailed them about mine a few months ago and they said they would do it for $145 with a $60 core. Their website is www.oldchevytrucks.com.
