i found a 1967 short wide bed with a small back window it has no ac cab
no motor no trans. it was a three speed on the tree. the body is ok the front grill is pushed in a little and has rust under the battery area the seat frame only the bed has metal floor i thought in 67 it would be wood. the guy wants 1200 is that a good price? iam not sure if i need any more projects but if its a great deal maybe i can buy it and resale. help |

Re: i found a 67 swb
In your area w/o power plant/trans and "pushed-in" a little,I`d say he`s a little high.More like 600 real-world dollars,I think.I`d give $1,200 here in the central east coast,but not everyone would.

Re: i found a 67 swb
put your hand on the area where the floorboard meats the kick panel
this is where the rust gets bad on these trucks. the only way you should pay that much is if the truck is almost free of rust and all the panels are straight and original. take some pics so you can really get some of these expert on the boards to give you a good estimate just to give you a example- I paid 1500 for a running(from little rock to southern IL) truck with good body panel and enough rust to have to replace both cab corners, one side- rocker, inner rocker, kick panel and lower front post. 1200 seems kind of high to me |

Re: i found a 67 swb
seems high, especially when a 67-68 grill is the most expensive to replace... I agree that the SWB is worth more but without a motor and tranny you are going to have a lot out of pocket.

Re: i found a 67 swb
Sounds way to high!!! I am buying a 67 swb fleet that has no int and motor for around $400....
If the truck was complete, then $1200 would not be that far out of line... |

Re: i found a 67 swb
I do not know guys, these trucks in Texas are expensive. If it is a truck at all and has a title, then that brings a grand right there. I would say that 67 plus steel bed floor would bring a couple of more hundred plus the fact that it is a swb and not a lwb parts truck I would say go for it.
