Re: Is this the same truck that is on this site?
Ya know what, that truck took ALOT of effort to complete AND it looks FINISHED!!! It's not my cup of tea either, but anyone who has a project, especially one of that level/detail deserves a "hats off" NOT a " I would have done it differently" Its quality work! Congrats!

Re: Is this the same truck that is on this site?
Fact is that you can take any truck/car and tell them what they should have done! If you can do better than do it!! Just have enough tact to not put other people down for what they have built. I know when I started building I thought my stuff was great and now I hide or burn and pics of some of that work when I find it. If this was a father and son build I would watch out because one day that kid might see your truck and give you his thoughts!
Personaly I think it is one bad a$$ truck with tons of hours in detail work most people would not even think of doing. Did you notice his front shock mounts? Or what about his shaved pinch weld under the cab? Nice work, I wish I could say it was Project Lemon Drop. But then again the owner of Lemon Drop might be a bit pissed at me, He wants a step side Kevin LFD Inc. |

Re: Is this the same truck that is on this site?
There hasnt been a single person on this thread that said it wasnt a great truck. Everyone said that there was a lot of work or money and it looked great!
Some dont like the style. Big Deal. Thats why they make so many different parts for our trucks! So everyone can do it their own way.

Re: Is this the same truck that is on this site?
It seems everyone seemed to miss my point probably due to the my briefness of my comment. Instead it was perceived as my being rude and insensitive to a forum member.
What if the owner of that truck "is" a forum member but has never posted? That may not be a fact, but it could be. I know from personal experience that exact same scenario has happened on here before. I posted pictures of a truck and invited the owner to the forum. Before he could become a participating member his truck was picked apart. Regardless of whether you like a truck or not, you should not bash it. If someone came on her asking for opinions of what they did, then it's open for discussion. Since that was not the case here everyone needs to remember that the owner of that truck might very well be lurking on here without having ever posted. Would you make the same comments if you knew the owner were reading them?

Re: Is this the same truck that is on this site?
We have this same issue over and over.. people bash things daily. It is not right to bash IMHO but what is the issue with people discussing it?
I hope the owner IS a member here, it would be great to read up on how the truck was done from their point of view. I did not see anyone bashing the truck.. I did however see people pointing out things they would had done differently. If noone can discuss trucks posted, then why even have the site? I have seen far worse bashing around here when members ask questions and post their own rides, and noone seems to care then. I am NOT disagreeing with the bashing is wrong thing.. I think its rude, but I personally see nothing wrong with people discussing what they would do different or pointing out what they think should had been done in the build. If someone posted something like ewe that thing is a flaming yellow turd.. then I could see everyone gettin upset. thread reopened for discussion........ |

Re: Is this the same truck that is on this site?
I agree the thread should stay open. I don't believe anyone was bashing the work. It has an awesome amount of work and detail put into it, but as with any show truck if you put it on display expect it to be judged. Isn't being judged after all the entire point of building a show truck? When I undertake a similar project I build it to my tastes and then get others opinions on what they think needs work. In the end it makes for a smoother more flowing more "detailed" project no matter what it is from building a house to installing a engine to building a truck from scratch. A build such as this truck takes great talent and I do not see anyone bashing it, just making comments on little things that affect the overall look.
