Disc brakes?
Who makes a good disc brake package for a 71 GMC? I had front discs but want new calipers with slotted rotors and matching rears with possibly mid 80's cadilac calipers (for the e-brake set-up).

Re: Disc brakes?
I have slotted rotors on all 4 corners on my S10. I will never have slotted rotors again! I've read that slotted rotors aren't worth a damn and actually hurt your braking system, instead of helping it. When I start to do the brakes on my 71 Chevy, I will be looking for stock rotors. Sorry, that doesn't answer your question, but I just thought I'd let you know about the rotors.

Re: Disc brakes?
I'VE GOT A FORD 9" OUT OF A 75 MKIV LINCOLN. IT'S WITHIN 1 INCH OF BEING THE SAME WIDTH , HAS DISCS, THE "E" BRAKE IS A LEVER ON THE CALIPERS & IT HAS THE SAME 5 ON 5 BOLT PATTERN AS 71s & 72 2WDs. JUST A THOUGHT OF ANOTHER WAY. JOHN
