Stock gears for 6cyl?

My truck seems to geared pretty well and also posi! But not listed on the glove box?

the stock gears on your 6 should be 3.73's. Yes, they are a nice gear!

Mine came with 4:11's, I believe, as well as a 3 on the tree. It had a TH350 in it when I bought it (still does) and I've swapped out the rear for a 5 lug unit that has 3:42's or 3:37's? Now I can actually go down the highway without exploding. And since I'm not racing from streetlight to streetlight I don't miss the low-end torque of the old gears.

3.73 was std equipment rear axle on all 67-72 5 and 10 series trucks, if you hahve no other ratio listed on SPID label and its 6 cyl truck originally then it will be 3.73 originally,. pull cover off axle to know for sure whats in it nowadays

thjere are gazillions of 3.73 12 bolts out there under old parts trucks,
