well you'll have to wait a while to see the blazer ......maybe in the spring.
There is some "buzz" going around about a big show in Oklahoma this spring, to try and fill the shoes of Showfest. maybe I can make it by that one

Ok, I think it definitely looks cool also. Can anyone explain what the heck that booster is on the 2nd page? It says it came out of a Fiero, but it also says it's for a 67-72 pickup. I'm slightly confused. Why wasn't that unit used for this buildup?

Looks like the boster and MC from an 85 Pontiac Fiero connected to a set of 67-72 truck booster brackets.

He was looking for something clean & small to use on this truck. I came across that booster @ the N.Tx meet & greet last year & took some pics to see if that was what he was gunning for.

He wound up using 'tweaked' stuff that was discarded from various shop projects instead of doing the Fiero/C10 bracket combo.

I have not built one of these.... I just happen to be the guy that took pics of it when I saw it.

Thanks SCOTI

Do you happen to know if the 67-72 pickup bracket fits the fiero booster, or did they need to adapt it?

My question is on the crossmenber. I've heard that67-72 can use 73-88 spindles and disc brakes if we used all the tie rods ball joints etc from that year. With you taking the crossmenber does that make it easier, and was your crossmember complete with the brakes attached?

Shifty-The guys may be a little slow to reply. I talked to Keith last night and they were moving cars out to the track for Goodguys this weekend.

VDOG- The advantage of swapping the crossmember to a 73-87 in general is to gain power disc brakes and 5 lug rotors. In this case the X-member was pulled from my 82 Blazer. It had recently been completely rebuilt so everything on it was like new.

What Ken said We got all the cars at the track this morning and most of the stuff set out.....just for fun I put a For Sale sign in the top corner of the windshield, what's not so fun is that I've already been getting calls and I have to meet one guy in the morning to go over the truck with him and he sounds like he's a player.

What is your price ? I am going to be out there on saturday and hope to see it. Where do you guys look for trucks? I have been checking ebay, about three news paper classifieds, these and other forums, and truck trader and old car trader and I keep getting beat to the punch. What's you guys secret to finding c10's?

I don't know if it has been asked already but what paintcolor is that? I was planning on painting my truck red, if I can ever finish the chassie, and that color looks great, very classic looking.

That's factory paint, believe it or not.......the only place that has been painted is the pass. bed side and the lower half of the door on the same side.

I've bought my last two from Missouri, sold the first one to finance this one and about a week ago bought it back to build.

I look in all the same places you do and miss 98% of the deals out there but every once in a while I hit a good one.

At any rate look me up this weekend, I'm going out in the morning and I will spend most of the day just talking with vendors with my buddy Roger, Sat and Sunday I will be around the cars from the shop answering questions....or just looking like I know what’s going on….

Ken, we're all family here and I wouldn't have minded at all but what Ken's talking about is: I got a Top 10 Pick from Classic Trucks today at the show...I was floored...my buddy Scotty has a killer 29 Roadster pickup and he also got a pick so compared to his ride I do feel blessed!
