Whatcha git dun this weekend?
I cleaned off the hood, moved the engine and stand out of the way, opened the garage door and drove it for probably the last time this calender year. It was a beautiful day today, with a poor forecast coming.
All the hard work cleaning the dust and paint overspray (from house doors, not the truck, unfortunately) from the windows, was well worth it. I took my 10 year old boy (future owner) for a nice loud ride. A beautiful day indeed. HG

Re: Whatcha git dun this weekend?
I finally figured out what i am going to do as a brace for the rear shockwaves. I was having a hard time trying to think of a cool way to mount the top of the shockwaves. Now i just have to make 2 small brakets and the rear end is done .

I didn't even get to look at my K5 this weekend, much less work on it.

Re: Whatcha git dun this weekend?
Saturday I changed out the last of the original power window regulator/motor setups in the wife's Bonneville. Piece of &^$% design andpain to get at. I also touched up, what I could, the Dodge's paint where someone had keyed it. Did somemore sanding on the 70.
Sunday, I played hotwheels and Legos with the son.

Re: Whatcha git dun this weekend?
I pulled the donor engine/trans out along with the associated wiring harness and moved the freshly cleaned frame for the '70 back in the garage.

Re: Whatcha git dun this weekend?
Good morning everyone. First I installed new idler and pitman arms on my 93 gmc. Then I replaced the seals on the rear axels along with new breaks in the back. And to finish on Sunday I fixed the blower on the AC and got it aliened.

Re: Whatcha git dun this weekend?
Got some painting done. Core support, grille, & splash pan. Don't laugh at my paint booth......
Also bagged (pun intended) an Air Ride setup for $600. It's off of an El Camino but hopefully I can make it work on the '70. One of the front bags has a hole in it so I will have to replace it, other than that it's in good shape. The guy didn't like the ride with them on. It's supposed to be 70º here today and a high of 42º tomorrow.... Welcome to Iowa.. LockDoc

Re: Whatcha git dun this weekend?
Lifted the cab off it's dolly with my buddies service truck crane, undercoated it with Eastwoods rubberized undercoating, and then sat it down on my freshly painted chassis. I had recently installed 2 1/2 inch dropped spindles and 4 inch lowering leaves. I really like the way it's sittin'. Looks good with the RamJet engine. Soon as I get the funds, I'll be ready to order a FCG gas tank. Oh ya, also took the Studebaker for one last drive for the year. I did get waves and smiles from others I didn't know. Classic trucks makes people smile!

Re: Whatcha git dun this weekend?
Today rather than the weekend, got the patch at the bottom of the passenger door pillar welded in and ground down. Treated it with rust convertor. Also wire wheeled the passenger floor and treated that too ready to paint. Tomorrow I'll primer the pillar and get the door ready to go back on so's I can fit the outer rocker.

Re: Whatcha git dun this weekend?
-stuck a digi camera behind the engine and was dissapointed to find 5.0 instead of 5.7. But at least I know why she lacked power.
-Got frustrated with an ebay acquired scanner. -Replaced TPS and got the truck running again. She runs great. -more frustration with scan tool. Verified all my ECM and ALDL wiring -Pulled 5.0 EFI engine and AOD trans from parts Mustang. -Helped uncle pull engine from his 55 Chevy.
