Post will this work for p/s on a 292?

Pulled a power brake bracket off of a '78 1 ton that had power brakes which run off of a pump that looks identical to a p/s pump. It was mounted on the drivers side above the alternator. will this bracket work for my p/s set up thanks

sounds like it may. Does the bracket also have a spot for holding the alternator?

When I converted my non p/s 250 to p/s, the bracket for the alternator I had was no longer needed.

Does the 1-ton have a 292? If so, the pump mounting brackets would work for your 292.

1 ton wil be 292 if original

that hydraulic brakes steering combo is called hydroboost, is hydraulic power brake booste,r not a vacuum power booster, hydraulic boost is commonly found on 70s and 80s caprices and buicks and olds cars with olds 350 diesel originally, i have cut up a couple of such cars out here wish i had saved the hydroboosts off them,

in fact my new neighbor has a demo car, a 79 buick park avenue with hydroboost brakes steering pump combo, car is a junker ruster and is all strippee ready to be trashed in demo this summer, its a HUGE thing everyone wants in it, over a 100 cars a year locally get ruined in it, not many left, ppl pay lotsd of $$$$$ for a rear wheel drive car of any kind and especially wagons which you wont get your hands on one in this region because are gone from existence due to all this every year in every town aorund,. no 60s cars and no early 70s cars left either at all, none not a one now. late 70s are few and far between, and all the trucks are engine donors so there goes all trucks also, we arent winning here, if its not rust cancer epidemic then its demo derbies.

good luck !
