What does my friend have for power?
Exactly what the subject says..Dyno 2000 is spitting out the neighbourhood of 500 HP. He has a TH350 transmission that hasn't been built...surely he doesn't have that much power?
Block is 454 bored 40 CI Eagle rods connected to speed pro pop up pistons wrapped in molly rings compression at about 10:1 or so lunati cam and lifters, the cam is like 282 i think comp roller rockers with eagle push rods i cant remember but im thinkin my heads have 119cc ports with hooker ceramic coated headers attached and to top it off an edelbrock performer RPM intake with a holley 750 double pumper vacuum secondary of course |

Re: What does my friend have for power?
unless it's been on a real dyno, you don't know how much power you have

Re: What does my friend have for power?
With the right oval ports heads (781's or 491's) it could easly make 500 at the crank.

Re: What does my friend have for power?
I had a 454 with 9:1 compression but very similar in the cam (comp 280 hyd.) Rods don't usually make power unless rotating mass and deflection are a real factor. i ran a set of 049's and 781's (virtually the same head) headers,,,I had an edel. plain performer,, roller rockers, and a holley vac 750. I took my car's e.t and weight, gearing,, etc.,,etc. and figured 385-400 h.p p.s. anyone can make a dyno read what you want and they almost all vary in correction factors etc.

Re: What does my friend have for power?
I have never dyno'd it, but I would say close to 600 on straight motor. Not factoring in the nitrous. As long as it goes when I nail it I don't care how much she has.
