Frt windshield stainless trim

I can't remember , is the shallow frt stainless the early or late style . I'm installing the frt windshield and the stainless is from some other truck ,
not sure what year. What front seal do i need to use 67 - 70 or 71 / 72 ?
Hope that makes sense , tks ..................................... Doug

Shallow stainless is 71-72
deep groove is 70 and older

Re: Frt windshield stainless trim

67 did not have trim on the back small window, do not know if this is true for the 67 large back window. I do think that the trim for 68-72 back window is the same...

Note, I did take a large rear window gasket and trim and cut it down to fit in my small window. Looks Sweet!!!

Re: Frt windshield stainless trim

Who sells the side moldings like those. I'm looking for some simple and thin stainless moldings for my truck. Thanks

Re: Frt windshield stainless trim

Where is a good place to get OEM 69-70 front windshield trim?

I have a 70 CST Blazer. The installer has tried 2x to install using the LMC (cheap gasket) and a $75 Precision gasket I supplied. Each time, he is saying that the aftermarket windshield with the gasket and aftermarket trim just doesn't work right. 2 hours 2 different times.

He wanted me to go with no trim and I said no. He said he needed to take the truck to his shop (next door to my painter) so no biggie... but he said it's going to cost $300 - $500 for him to make the parts I supplied work for this install. He said if I can find OEM trim it will be easier and faster.

Thanks, Paul

The aftermarket trim is the problem. Use original trim and the Precision gasket and it will be an easy install. You have to be a Premium member to post a "Want To Buy". If you click on the words "Subscribe" in the menu bar above it will explain the different subscription options. If you choose to become a "Premium" member you can post a "WTB" on the parts for sale board.
