Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?
Not nearly enough! It was in the 70s here. Put on water pump, belts and radiator, messed with the fan shroud and serviced one other truck.

Me I had company most of the weekend, so I didn't get allot done between the company and mowing. I did clean the frame some and paint a portion of it with eastwood yesterday. I cut off some old exhaust brackets and changed out the drivers rear lower shock/trailing arm bracket. Now I have a purty one instead of the washers weld up from hell.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?
I helped a REAL good friend haul his 1967 2wd long bed from Wyoming to his new place back here in MN. 900 miles one way. That was Monday - Wednesday.
Thursday with the in-laws with a little pheasant hunting mixed in. Friday pheasant hunting. Saturday more pheasant hunting. Today recovering.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?
I came home for the weekend from school and took the 71 for a drive. Felt nice to drive it, as it had been sitting for nearly 2 months.

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?
went parts hunting up in the hills of PA, only found one truck and pulled a non-truck AM/FM radio out of it. Gave the guy $5 and just got offered $300 on Ebay. turned out to be a 69 Camaro and they are worth three times what ours our restored! woohoo. best $5 i've spent....

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?
well i pulled an engine and trans out of a 82 4x4. i put the engine on a stand and striped it down to find it wasn't just a 350 it was a 350 bored .030 over with flat top pistons. !!. i also made a pilgramage to ragerat638's place and helped his kid pull his rear end out and i also used his blasting cabenet to clean up all the brackets for the 350. oh i got those painted along with the pan too. busy weekend for me but man am i stoked about the killer engine i got for free!
ondrew p.s. it was good seeing ya mark and thanks for the ideas! |

Re: What did everyone get done this weekend?
Well it started friday at the local pick-N-pull. I scored a 68 hood and both fenders, full A/C dash (mine is hacked up) two sets of hood hinges for a flip and tilt hood as well as a set of bucket seats. Worked on the house Saturday putting a lap style plank ceiling on our front portch (8x27) and painted alot of new trim to go in Monday. Then Saturday night I was home along so I spent a few hours in the shop working on my 71 SWB (project slow build). I finished both rocker, cab corners, filled all holes in the floor, raised the trany tunnel for my drive shaft and crossmember clearance. Filled in the gass filler hole and built the seat mounts for the new seats that I picked up. Other than that not a dam thing
