Vacum nipple/port

Well today I found a massive vacum leak. I had been suspecting the EGR or TPS for the cause to be running lean, but I found the vacum leak to be the cause.

The vacum nipple is on the intake manifold, offset slightly to the passenger side I believe. It's next to the EGR and in front of the distributor. It's a fairly large nipple. It took a rubber fuel line to slip over it to block it off for now.

What SHOULD be hooked up to this vacum nipple? I can't find any loose vacum lines.

Normally you will have vacuum to the brake booster, A/C doors, trans vac modulator, etc. That nipple is the source for anything that requires manifold vacuum.

I know that, but usually each individual source of vacum has a designated item that hooks to it.

On the trucks I have owned, the items I mentioned were connected to the nipple you are talking about.
