Cool Truck Screen Saver

I just put my truck away for its long winter nap.

Knowing how much I'm going to miss it, I took some digital photos with the idea of making a screen saver.

I'm still going to do it, but I figured it would be even better if I got a bunch of you guys to send me photos of your trucks too. I'll put them all together and make the screen saver available for free to board members.

What do you think?

We can mix and match, exterior, interior, engine compartment, Blazers, Burbs, whatever.

If you're interested, I need you to send me a pretty good resolution digital photo. By that I mean something on the order of 1024x768 at 100 dpi, or another combo that'll make about the same size photo. That ensures it will look good on a 19 inch monitor. I can even overlay text with truck year/model, and owners name.

Send photos directly to me at adkphoto@imagecrafterphoto.com

If you don't have a digital photo or scanner, I could scan a paper photo for you.

Make a post or PM me with questions.

David

I have already tried to make a 67-72chevytrucks.com members truck screen saver, but I used free ware and it kinda sucked. but it works on my PC and i have somewhere around 70 pictures in this screen saver! And I only used half the pictures I have! If you could pull this off, it would be AWESOME!!

I sent pictures. BTW, I have a HUGE amount of members truck pictures. All the file names are the members screen name. I don't know how small a win zip file of all of them would be, but I could zip them, and try to e-mail you. Let me know. Jason.

Oh Yeah Racedvl! Here's what I have:

BTW WinXP users (maybe other Win version users - been a long time) but you can use use the "Pictures" folder, or any other for that matter, as a screen saver! You go into display properties and choose the pictures option as a screen saver. I use it, and it brings up members' rides for me!

I do like the way adkphoto made the first photo though, name - year and model. Neat way to do it!

Hey Adkphoto, I'd send you a pic of my truck, but it's nothing much to look at!! LOL It's just a run of the mill 1/2 ton with the piss pounded out of the body! Pretty good mechanically though, and that's what counts for now.

I FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!!!

my cousins comp crapped out on us so I plugged in the ol PII 400 and I was surprised to see that the old screensaver was still on there anyone remember the 1 from www.chevytruckgallery.com
the page is dead now but hey the screensaver still works heheheh
adk I will try to email the program to ya but I am lost when it comes to computers so if you get an empty email from me you know why LOL if the email works I can send it to anyone else who wants it too

Its a really neat program where you can choose how long to view each photo while in screensaver mode there is a slideshow mode there is only about 15-18 pics in it now but I'm sure someone could add more to it
