What makes a good K5 street driver?
I have a K5 that is pretty much stock. I think only changes are rallies with 31" tires. It has some body roll and bounce (although it has new stock shocks) that I would like to address. Nothing super bad, but I do have to fight it on rough streets. It also has original springs, front and rear. Anyone have any recommendations on how to reduce body roll?
Thanks in advance. ...Dan |

dont go around the corners so fast? it is a 4x4. Maybe get a rear sway bar and poly endlinks and bushings for the front sway bar

The first mod would be to add a front sway bar. Starting in 1973, all 4X4s got them. The later model parts can be adapted to work, or there are aftermarket kits available (not sure where).

You probably don't want to hear this but---those 33's are not helping your ride or handleing. Low wide tires would give you much better handeling and maybe a new look that would grow on you~~!

Thanks for the response.
I will try slowing down and adding the sway bars now. Will address tires and shocks next. ...Dan |
