Need some frame measurements..

Ok,I am restoring a 71 shortbed K10 and right now I am working on the frame welding up holes, sandblasting it,etc, etc.I discovered that the rear spring hangers for the rear axle have been moved. If someone with a 71 or 72 shortbed K10 could please measure the distance from the back of the frame to the back of the rear spring hanger, and also if you could measure the distance from the end of the sport rear bumper bracket to the back of the spring hanger I would really appreciate it.I included a pic of the rear spring hanger to show its postition now and in red I have drawn lines indicating where I need measurements.I dont need very exact measurements but some good ones will really help.
Thanks,
Dustin

Re: Need some frame measurements..

I think maybe the leaf rearend was added on your truck. Here's some pics of the 2 shorties I have. 1rst two pics are leaf, 2nd two are coil.Notice the laef frame has knubs(?) on the frame, where as the coil frame is smooth. Hope that helps.

Re: Need some frame measurements..

Hmm, Maybe this will help. The truck didn't come with a sport bumper originally. 2nd pic is the inside bracket where it had to be notched to clear a rivet.

Re: Need some frame measurements..

I know a guy who used to have a 71 swb 4X4. his board name is 71swb4x4. I think he sold it to another member. send him a PM and he may be able to lead you to the buyer.
