Need pic/advice....

Well, Ive talked my parents into getting me a rollpan for Christmas. Ive been reading the descriptions and the lot of them say I have to modify the rear cross sill to clear the tag indentation on the pan.

I was wonering if anyone had some pics of where it needs to be cut.

Im assuming they come with instructions on where to cut....but with my schedual Im only gonna have a few hours to get it mocked, welded, ground smooth, and primed. So the more prepared I can get before hand the better.

Thanks,
Mitch

Re: Need pic/advice....

I don't know if it's similar to the cut needed on a newer style bed but I went down and snapped a pic of my 85 and where I had to cut it to get a pan on.

I had to trim it on the bed itself right on the rear of it, hope it helps.

Re: Need pic/advice....

All you have to do is cut a small portion in the middle of the rear cross sill to clear the tag box.

Yeah, I just hit it with a die grinder (not too pretty...lol). Remember, this is an 85' truck though so I have no clue if it's the same on a 67-72.
