Clean looking dual exhaust hangers

I am in the process of restoring a 72 Cheyenne with a 350. See pic. It is going to be very stock. I want to have the local muffler shop put dual exhaust on it. What kind of exhaust hangers/brackets would be real clean looking? I hate those universal hangers they normally use.

Re: Clean looking dual exhaust hangers

what about what they use on newer vehicles were there is a hook welded to the exhaust and it is slid into a rubber bushing...btw nice looking engine. have any more pics of the truck?

I personally like the type they used on mine, they were $15 each
but they hold up really well, can be shortened, or curled under your
pipes, there are lots of pic's on the "GQ" linky in my siggy. (Page 17)

Re: Clean looking dual exhaust hangers

those are the same type we use. just make sure they roll them partially around the pipe and only weld one side--if you weld both sides, they have a tendancy to break.

yeah those are the ones I prefer..I use round stock and heat it with a torch and bend it a bit around the exhaust tube...I really like how these come out and they leave A LOT of flexibility in the install....

Re: Clean looking dual exhaust hangers

If you are doing a stock rebuild don't you want to dig up some NOS hangers?
