Hi ya all, new here, just wanted to get my foot in the door, cool site, may work out to be one of the cool ones okay thing is that brought me here is I'm looking for a tool box door, you know the one low on the right side of the bed, behind passenger door, yea that one. As it just so happened the hinges on mine rusted through therefore the door came off while tooling down the road, so guess what, now I need to find one. Ha ha, funny funny, had no idea this was going to be such a journey. Been looking here there no luck even have been watching Ebay , Nope, well time to hit the ole inter-net which inturn has me finding this site, cool, Mmmm it's not letting me post a thread in the parts section, I know thats where it belongs, but for now guess I'll just have to say Hi while I'm at it. Anyone able to point me in the right direction will get mad props from me.

They used to repro them in fliberglass, but there wasn't enough of a market to justify it... plus, they were stupid expensive.
You'll find them from time to time on e-bay, and on our parts board. (you have to be a paying member {$25 a year...best $25 you'll spend} to post a part for sale, or wanted to buy thread)
I hope you really want it bad, the ones with some rust are expensive... the ones with no rust...

not to sound like a smart a$$ but thats probably the hardest piece of good sheetmetal to find, lousy design on G.M.s part, water gets in but can't get out. you can try bill at vintage chevy truck here in california (510)651-5874. IF you do locate a nice,rustfree one, you can bet it won't be cheap--i paid well over $400.00 for a NOS one on ebay and i've seen them for $500.00 on here. i had a guy lined up to make them out of fiberglass but got no interest on here at $250.00 so i dropped the idea. best of luck.

You may or maynot know that there are 2 good board vendors on here in Olympia. Wes Hepp of Classicheartbeat parts mentioned he had one of these doors and was considering selling it. the other vendor in that area is Frank of Pickmup Parts.

To funny, I know Wes cool dude, Hmm Frank yea I know em. Thanks guys, knew it was going to be a chore to find one. yea Wes has one, at the time we talked he wasn't sure if he'd let it go yet. so figure I'll start hunting.. Photos? might be able to come up with a few.. most 95% are on film though.

Tis that time of year. Since I will be selling some of my trucks and goodies to help pay for other work. No pics yet.

Good clean door only surface rust on door. $275 plus ride. Will include the plastic box assembly with it if picked up in Eugene. Might consider trades for other option parts of interest.

First thanks Jerry props to you and Bill yea he had one sold last week a cool has one left wants to keep the other one, thing that was brought up, Duh need hinges too, wouldn't be any good to me with out em. So Joesjunk does it have hinges? my latch and handle is still good from what I can tell, could be something else getting it apart and back again ???? Photos? sheesh son just took off in it, I'll see what I can find LOL

hay all where do you get that black rubber peace that some what keeps the water out i need em for my doors in my truck dose any one sell em and i did not know them side doors are worth so much have to start pulling them outand clean em up and get all the cancer off them and refreshen then up to new condion cool i though they made tones of them doors i;m still looking for the rear hach for my 1967 3 door suburban the one with the window please and yes suppost this site found so much cool stuff and people that are like me just plain
