8 lug wheel spacers

[1969 GMC]

does anyone know of a good place to get 8 lug wheelspacers? I don't seem to have much luck finding them. Looking for 3" or perhaps 4".

If I remember right they don't make spacers bigger than 2.5" for safety reasons ( unless you know the guy that makes them )

I guess the reason I am asking is that I found a cab and chassis width 14 bolt (63"wms) at the junkyard that had spacers, IIRC they were 4" each. The junkyard man would not sell me them separately, he would only sell the axle and at $300 it was a TAD steep.

he did say that it was under an ambulance of some sort, and guessing that GM didnt put them on there from the factory, I am theorizing an aftermarket upfitter put them there.

they were made out of iron or steel, not aluminum.
