Is it possible, to replace the different shafts?

i have a TH350 in truck now, and someone wants to sell a longshaft to me, can i switch the long shaft with the short saft, easily?

Gotta take the whole trans apart.

or change the drive shaft

yep, you'll need the main guts of the short shaft to convert the long shaft tranny.
