which would you rather have?

i can either add a summit 1100 cam to my motor as is, and go from 374 max torque@2000RPM/280 max HP@4500 to 406T@2000 and 287HP@4500, or i can go a step farther and add Dart Iron Eagle heads and get 420T@2000/300HP@4500

so choices are:
as is-- 374T@2000/280HP@4500
w/cam-- 406T@2000/287HP@4500
cam+heads--420T@2000/300HP@4500

the tranny is an SM465, gears are 4:10s. i have to be able to pull 27500lbs

I use and highly recommend world product SR torquers . The ports on the intake side come in at 170 cc and they flow better than any small block head chevy ever put in a car but without having the ports too large which will kill performance as fast as anything. They flow even a bit better than the newest iron vortec chevrolet heads on the exhaust side and within 5% on the intake. Theyre priced comparable with the vortecs and do not require a different manifold , rockers or valve covers. With an 1102 summit cam you'd be looking at around 340 hp at 5000 rpm and a near straight line torque curve of around 383-400 ft lbs from 2000 to 4500 rpm.
