Where can I find GM codes?

I know that this has probably been beaten to death, but... ...is there a source out on the internet and /or in print that will decode '69 on up part markings?

GM parts books for the trucks is a very good parts number reference. Ocassionally people post them on the best message board they can find and some friendly people tell them what they are for.

Thanks for the info fellas, at a brief glance this morning I think that I noticed the marking 44-35 on the front right side of the pumpkin. Does that make sense or should I keep looking?
