The newer stepside mod....question?

OK....some of us have seen the new stepside on these trucks and for some of us they look great. All except for one thing....the stupid fender doesn't match. Has anyone seen a modification to where the rear fenders match the front fenders? To me that's the only problem with this mod.

It's been done before, but I don't recall who did it.

Re: The newer stepside mod....question?

I cant remember where I saw it but one of the mags showed a truck. They used 67-72 wheel arches on the late model fenders. It made it better but I'm not a fan of the late model beds. The other thing that needs adressing on this swap is the lower body line. There is some adjustment required to get it to line up with the one on the cab.

Re: The newer stepside mod....question?

IMO this is a good swap if you don't have a decent bed. Sure its nice to a rustfree bed, sometimes it don't work that way. If you can buy a late for around $600-800 buy it. I was goin' that route but found what I needed. As far as the wheel arches its no bigger issue than cowl hoods, cut dashes, air bags etc. Its a mod and its your ride.
