Unhappy 8 1/2 mpg

yeap, i finally took the time to right my milege down, and i'm only getting around 8.5mpg.

but thats with my timing being adjusted yesterday, and since then, i've probably gone through almost half a tank.

so, time to adjust my timing soon. but i need to buy the label thing that goes on the damper first

LOL, I used to get the same thing on my dually (454 2bbl) Thats why I dont have it anymore. Filling up every 2 days on a 27 gln tank was killing me!

Mine gets 12 mpg on a good day and 10 on a bad one...since there's no car payments and my insurance is $40 a month....it's not that bad....to get more than 15 would mean having to go to an efi and a computer controlled truck....that'll be the day....

Eric, you have a TH350 don't you?

I would suspect that, and an untuned carb. to be your problems.

Good luck.

BTW: My Big Block 2.8L can get 30MPG on the freeway. :p
