New engine/vintage air/gauge cluster
the 350 i had, always had rod knock. after 2 rebuilds i started getting main bearing knock or something and instead of a new crank, a new crate sounded better. $1700 for that
before my engine got messed up i got a vintage air sure fit kit off ebay for $940, and 70 shipping, so $1010 for that. and i bought a tach and moved my blinkers from the middle hole to the right hole, and put led's in there. i still have a vacuum leak and it's not tuned all the way. and my vintage air isn't complete under the dash and the ac's not ready but the heater works nice. also, off topic. recalled ball joints on durangos are worth fixing. my upper/lower ball joints, and tie rod end split and i was dragging the wheel by the rubber brake hose before i cut it off. |

Re: New engine/vintage air/gauge cluster
Daja Vu.... I've got the exact same set up, including the tach!!
Do you have power steering? If you do, could you take a picture of the brackets/pulleys? I didn't get a complete VA system, so I need to figure out from the firewall forward on what I'm going to do. I also want to move my alt to the driverside as well. See this thread for my dash. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...highlight=tach
