Re: Exhaust tips

I ran my pipes so they come out downward behind the rear tire, and curve out. Kinda like some camaros I've seen.

Re: Exhaust tips

I'll have some pictures tomorrow after I get my new exhaust. I'm going out the back as I don't like all the noise. It was fun 20 years ago, but now just gets on my nerves.

I think I'm going to either put mine out the side like bksky's or dump them behind the cab.

The bed is off the truck, but I'll snap some pics tonight, they come out thru the wheel opening behind the tire.

Re: Exhaust tips

I'll get you some pics of mine. I am getting it done today or tommorrow. It's headers into 3" duals, into flowmasters with dual 2 1/2" outlets, and there are two 2 1/2" pipes coming out each side in front of the rear tire. I should be pretty cock. (nascar style) he he. This is all coming out of a freshly built 425hp 454. Can't wait!

I've got a roll pan that is painted body color so no discoloration noticed so far. I had pipes that ran out the side like a Chevelle but wanted a tougher look so ran them out the back and close to the plate. No gas tank in the rear of the truck I decided to leave it in the stock location. Noise is reduced in the cab as well running your pipes this way (I run a pr. of flowmasters need I say more.)

I've had my exhaust on my truck just like see ten's for a couple of years and haven't had any problems with discoloring on my sport bumper.
