shell for 70 LWB
What size camper shell will fit the 70 gmc LWB the best? What years have the same bedrail dimensions?

Re: shell for 70 LWB
Antone I know who wanted one, just went to a plce and measured the bed, to the designs/styles that were on the lot. I have only seen one LWB with a shell that I liked , and he ended up removing/selling it because he didn't like it.

Re: shell for 70 LWB
I run toppers on some of my trucks for work and have found that a topper for a 67-87 chevy/gmc's will fit and also a ford up to 96 will fit. the ford topper is just a little bit wider but still works

Re: shell for 70 LWB
I have a 1972 Alpine shell on my truck. Fits like a glove. I haven't decided if I will restore it or take it off completely. It sure is nice to have for my camping/fishing gear. It also has a bench in it that folds into a full size bed my wife's grandfather built in 72/73.

Re: shell for 70 LWB
Well, I guess the deal is I am not looking for an antique shell for my truck. I'd like to go looking for shells for a later year range (and thus listed) that fit real nice.
