vapor/fuel return line

Hello all I am new to the site. I was wondering if you could help me. I have a 1972 Chevy and I am doing a motor swap. My question is my old motor's fuel pump had an intake and a fuel\vapor return, would I hurt anything if I clamped off the vapor retun hose and just had the main fuel line? My new motor only has 1 inlet for the main hose.

Thanks
Don
