What is a cheap way to prevent paint from peeling??
i got a major bad spot but i want to hold off until fall too paint it...what can i do to stop the amount of peelage?

the paint is peeling because of improper application and will continue to peel the only proper way to fix it is to take it off and prep and apply correctly

ok well i bought it with only 2 spots with paint chipped off...over time those spots are getting larger....could i maybe put a little bit of clear coat? Or would that wreck it?

it's not a matter of putting something over it. The surface under the paint is the problem.

Take all the paint off and put it in some spray bomb primer.

the paint is fine its just where the edge is....weather water or something else hits it.... |

o wow....i just thought i little bit of clear coat would do wonders, my truck is purple and it would be very hard to match a spray bomb paint

Cork... I meant just take it all off... go primer all the way around. Or you could just let it flake it you get a real paint job.
