couple pics. of trucks at car show
Here are a couple of pictures of the last 2 trucks i built. The blue 68 stepside i finished in November 03. I sold it in sept. 04. I sorta finished my 69 fleetside November 06. I sill have several things to do. I had to get back on other projects and hurricane crap still going on. I will finish it one day. I have about 50 big miles on it. Picstures not that good, but they might not be next to each other again. Somebody is wanting to buy the 69 that saw it at the show. I wanted to keep it at least until goodguys in dallas this year. Hope yall like them.

Holy Cow. Suuhweet! Maybe someday I can have a truck that pretty....someday..... Nice firewall/heater core treatment, seeing as mine has been leaking a bit lately, (guess what I'm doing next weekend) I see the way yours looks, and I wish and want.

Re: couple pics. of trucks at car show
How did you do that thing with the firewall where the heater hoses attach? I REALLY like that!! It gets the big box out of the engine bay.

Wow, I love the color of the 68. Do you know the name of the color, or the code?
They are both awesome! :metal"

I like the matching air cleaners you have on the edelbrocks. Is that an edelbrock piece? If so do you have a part number?

Re: couple pics. of trucks at car show
The valve covers and the air breather on the red truck are a summit brand. I do not remember. They are polihed aluminum.
The setup on blue truck are chrome plated aluminum and came from a sreetrod book my friend had called Parr. I think out of Oklahoma? It was sorta like a summit magazine.

Re: couple pics. of trucks at car show
Hey Glock
I had a lot of trouble finding the code when i was painting it back to original blue. The original 68 med. blue met. comes up #506 We could not find it years ago so i used the 70 model # 501 med. blue met. I think it is almost the same as the 68 color. I have a bunch of old chip books if you need more info. on color. I had more comments on that blue 68 than any other truck i ever had. Hope this helps.

Pics. for MONDO
Here are 2 more. The blue 68 is med blue and the 69 is med red. You said you were thinking about red or blue. This should screw you all up. Sorry. I will use both colors again in future builds. I like red but there are so many of them.

He's running an aftermarket air/heat setup like Vintage Air, Old Air or something.

That`68 Stepside is perfect.Well, except if it was mine I would have mounted those small lights down by the bumper or left the stock lights. So,it gets a 9.9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999.
