A couple I6 power brake questions
I want to make sure I get the right stuff. I have the off-set air cleaner housing, but do I have to use the whatchamacallit that holds it up the 4 or 5 inches above the carb? As you can see, I have a plug in the valve cover where the breather hose would go.
I would like the air filter to sit up highter, but this is the valve cover I want to use, and it don't even have a place for the breather hose. What is the normal place to attach the brace to the side of the air filter. On my air filter, there is a place to bolt a brace on and it lines up directly over one of the valce cover bolts, but that don't seem right. Can't really see it very good in that picture. I don't have that brace, but until I find one, I can probably make one.

Dude, don't punch any holes in that script valve cover. They don't make these anymore and you can always sell that one. I have 2 with holes near the front side and searching for one like yours.

Re: A couple I6 power brake questions
Not to worry-I have no intention of ruining it. I want to use it as is, but every one of those deals that lift up the air filters that I've seen has the breather attachment on it. I'm afraid that if I go without that piece the air filter will be too low and look dumb, besides covering up the script.
