Booster?
Ok fellas, I think I know what is wrong, but jut want to make sure. I have a 1972 c30 dually, 350 w/4 spd. I am driving down road. every thing was normal for about 10 miles in stop and go traffic. Then all of a sudden someone stops in front of me. When I hit the brakes, pedal goes to the floor.Fluid level is ok. Brakes work on and off. Is it the booster? And if so, where do you think is the best place to get a replacement? I will have pics of the truck by the weekend. Thanks in advance, I love this site.

Re: Booster?
I'd vote master cylinder...
that happened to me in my RX-7 two summers ago and scared the S**T outta me. It's crazy how it happens with no warning.

Re: Booster?
a booster will never make that happen.
Your master cylinder is a dead player. |

Re: Booster?
Thanks fellas, It did scare the hell out of me. The truck has a 12' foot flatbed,
so it is pretty heavy. So you can imagine my predicament when it wouldnt stop. Well I will change it out this weekend. Thanks alot. chc |

Re: Booster?
I agree but since no one actually stated it. If the booster fails or is failing your pedel will be very hard or harder to push not go to the floor. I.E. loss of Power/Vacume assist.
