Wires and Looms-

hey fellas, im looking for some opinions on spark plug wires and looms. im running heddman headers, and the #5 plug wire keeps getting burnt on the header. a part of that is the crap looms that were on there now. im just looking for some opinions on looms or even a better way to keep this from happening. thanks alot. _matt

I'm also running headman (elite) headers,These are the looms I just Installed. So far they are working great,gets the wires out of the way.Hope the pics helps!!!

Sounds too familiar. Does your #1 pipe run over and behind the #5 pipe? My Hedmans do the same. I must have burned 3 wires/boots before I finally got something to work.

I purchased an MSD high-temp boot like this (http://www.msdignition.com/wire_4.htm). I then covered the wire with a heat protection sleeve that slide over the wire. I then covered the boot and wire with a fiberglass boot protector like this (http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku).

I just ordered a set of new shorty headers from ECE that should eliminate my boot/wire problems this year (I hope).

Thats what my problem is. The number 1 pipe leaves very little to play with as far as wires. I would love to figure out a way to run the wires under the headers, but ill have to see about that.

There is one other thing you can try (if you haven't already). Header spark plugs because they are shorter, it will give you a little more room for the boot and wire.
