Re: change 75 blazer t.gate2 truck style Q.
Still using the fiberglass top right? While I havent done this, I saw a k5 on the road where somebody had installed topper style back glass onto the stock top. I don't think adapting a 1st gen blazer liftgate would work as the shapes are all different.
Your best bet is to go look at Fiberglass truck bed toppers/shells and compare shapes/sizes to the K5 top. The one I saw did a fairly good job as it took me a couple of seconds to realize what he had done. It looked as if if it was mounted flush, meaning to the outside of the K5 top. It was hinged at the top and had the normal topper style T-handle in the center at the bottom. The glass didn't have a frame around it that I could remember except for maybe at the bottom. You could go really low buck/low tech and use clear vynil like convertible tops use and install snaps all the way around, but I don't see it being very water tight. If you don't mind my asking, why the change from blazer gate to a pickup gate? Were you having problems with the window/regulator? Mine was stuck pretty bad when I got it (wouldn't roll up the last 4 inches). Found another regulator in the junkyard and got some new rollers at the chevy dealer and rebuilt it. greased the snot out of everything when I put it in and now almost 3yrs later it still goes up and down with little effort. I can walk you through it if thats the problem you were having.

I was going to run a soft top on mine, so the back window wasn't much of a consideration. The pickup gate bolts right up, just make sure you grab all of the installation hardware off of the donor.

Are your torsion rods still there on the gate? Those rods are there to make the gate easier to lift or lower. The area at the bottom of the gate and the back floor where the rods mount are pretty prone to rusting. They might have pulled through.
