Re: 62 to a 66
Front cab mounts are different. Do you have the '62 frame? If so, remove the front cab mounts from the '62 frame and weld them on the '66 frame. That's what I did when I put my '62 cab on a '63 frame.

Re: 62 to a 66
I swapped in a '73-'87 front crossmember on mine. I know '71-'72 will also work.

Yeah, you can just swap the arms on the '66 frame.

Re: 62 to a 66
I think you the spindles from a 71-72 will bolt up to 63-66 A-arms. Correct me if I'm wrong, just what I've heard. My 62 is has a 73-87 front crossmember on the original frame. It's been on there since the late 70's...works great..Good luck with your project!!

Re: 62 to a 66
yep its torsion bar get ahold of a plasma ccutter and cut the trann member out and order in one from CPP and bolt the tranny up that way and you can have front discks and coil springs

Re: 62 to a 66
If you still use the your 62 or 66 control arms and want to use the 71 to 72 spindle remember to change the ball joints on the control arms since that would be the only difference.

Re: 62 to a 66
About the 5 speed. I read somewhere that the one that will work is a T5 that was off a 4.3 vehicle. Like an S-10 or an Astro van.
